AOL states to set boxes to 993 and 465 verizon states to set them to 995 and 465

AOL states to set boxes to 993 and 465 verizon states to set them to 995 and 465. I can not get a test email using the 993 AOL would have us enter only can I sent and receive a test email using the 995. SO WHICH IS CORRECT? Since the 995 works now however will it work after November 6th 2017?

995 is correct for pop3.  However if you choose to switch to IMAP the port is 993.
