Didn't disclose information to customer to get them to upgrade service

I was told that I qualify for verizon connection and allowing me to believe I was going to get $10 discount. The customer representative left out the fact that I don't qualify because I only have internet service. The representative left out that information because she was trying to get me to upgrade my service from 50/50 to 75/75. So I upgrade to 75/75 thinking that I was going to get that $10 discount. I didn't find out till I try to call to see if verizon has approved the discount but is too late since I have already upgraded. I feel I have been lied to and verizon said that they will retrain the representative but shouldn't verizon train the representative to be truthful and not hold on to information to get a sale from a customer. I waiting for my contract to expired and leave verizon.
