Easement Offer from Verizon?

5' wide 125' long easement to bore down and place cable to connect a power source on the rear of our property to a place on a property across the street.  The price for the easement is being negotiated. Does anyone have experience with a fair price? The price being offered by Verizon is low (Just over $1000).
