Low wire damaged house

Hello-

A garbage truck by our house hit a low wire that pulled a Utility pole down. This caused significant damage to our electrical line and also to the house. The city confirmed that the low wire belonged to Verizon And that the problem had been reported to Verizon and number of times.. How do I get paid back? Thank you.
