Moving inflicts price hike?!

Verizon wants to charge me $35 extra a month for LESS service if I take them with me (1/8 mile away).

The double up credit won't transfer (something they gave me without asking a year ago) and they don't have my TV package any more (Prime), so I would get Premier which has LESS channels.

I thought Verizon was turning a new leaf (giving loyalty credits without asking, etc) but it looks like someone let Scumbag Steve back in to run Verizon.

Shame shame shame. You lost a customer.

Email sent to Lowell McAdam and Marc Reed (rather their admins).

Pretty pathetic customers have to go to such extent to get things done.

Unfortunately when you move you plan goes away. You have to create a new plan at the prevailing rate or price other alternatives.

Just crazy, I am having the same issue, moving within a mile and I am told that you are a new customer. On top of this, I get a letter with a deal for new customer which seemed very good. I called customer service, first they tell me that this is only applicable for new customer, then I told them that I am being told I am treated as a new customer as my prices have now increased, then she tells me that the letter you received is a marketing letter and does not apply to you in your address, then how come I received this letter.

While, I like Verizon service, I am now appalled by this and thinking..................
