Multi copies of inbound email messages on my iPad

I have Fios internet and use an iPad with Wi-Fi.

My inbound email messages often are repeated as many as 4 times and come in at different times of the day. Origins vary.

Are there any solutions for this?

Thanks.

Hi just to clarify, when you log into your verizon webmail you are seeing multiple duplicate messages? Or are you using a different email client?

Thanks,

Constance

The iPad came already loaded with a 'MAIL' app icon. That is what I use and where I see the multiple message copies. They do not appear when I use Verizon webmail on my Windows 7 computer.

Apple has informed me it has nothing to do with anything iPad.

Thanks.

Then Apple lied. The file that tells your iPad what messages it has already downloaded is stored locally on your iPad, NOT on
Verizon's servers. If it is "forgetting" what messages it already has, then it's something local. Maybe the connection is timing out before it updates the file, maybe your Mail app is faulty, maybe your iPad has short-term memory loss, but it's something local.

Apple just opened a big, fancy new store here. I'm experiencing some other problems with the iPad, so will take it in and let them fix it.

Thanks for the input.
