I had FIOS, moved, cannot get FIOS. Since my move I was not able to use my email address and lost all of my mail from the time it was disconnected. I use Incredimail for all of my emails and was frustrated when I could not sign in and get any of my mail even on my IPAD. Verizon gave me my email address back and I am now able to sign in to Verizon.com and get my mail, but when I try to get it on Incredimail or my IPAD, I get -ERR [AUTH] Authentication failed. I KNOW the user name and password are correct because I can sign in to Verizon to get my mail and that is EXACTLY what I put in for Incredimail and my IPAD. HELP!!!! How do I fix this??

check your incredimail port settings and requires authentication. and also make sure your outgoing port is 587
this example shows 25, change it to 587

Those are the ports that Vz requests be used.
Those ports do NOT have to be used for SSL. In fact I can setup any Daemon to use any ports.
For example:
HTTP Daemon on port 8080
http://mysite.uses8080.com:8080:/index.html
Telnet Daemon on TCP port 9100 (like a Print Server)
telnet my.telnet.host.com 9100
FTP Daemon on TCP port 99
ftp://this.is.my.ftp.site.com:99
Verizon wants us to use...
outgoing.verizon.net @ TCP port 465
incoming.verizon.net @ TCP port 995

I haven't seen those work without SSL, but that may be possible. I know on their website listed under email settings, that they point out that those are ssl server settings and to use the SSL checkbox.

Not only possible but requested. I think email was sent out in 2011.
It works in regards to my parent's DSL account email and my FiOS account email but we both know the email system is connectivity independent.
I am sure that 587 will be phased out in due time. Not unlike when we were requested to use TCP port 587 and TCP port 25 remained available but was eventually phased out.
