Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.verizon.net responded: Authentication failed

I have gotten this notification (Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.verizon.net responded: Authentication failed) on one verizon account and I haven't gotten email since 12-24, on my pc or iphone.  I still get email on a different verizon account just fine.  Help!

Hi sherrie39,

Make sure authentication is enabled on the outgoing server and that SSL is enabled on both the incoming and outgoing servers. Your incoming server port should be 995 with SSL enabled and the outgoing server should be 465 with SSL and authentication enalbed. These settings should resolve the issue.

Are you able to sign in at webmail.verizon.net with the email account in question also?
