Setting up Verizon email with Outlook 2010

Using 995 for IMAP server I receive "The IMAP server issued an unrecognized greeting." Can anyone advise another setting?

Verizon doesn't use imap, so that might be the problem. Change to pop 3. A detailed step by step can be found at www.verizon.com/repair and clicking set up email, or you can try the auto fix by clicking fix email.
