I signed up for a $50 rewards as soon as I started service. Immediately enrolled in autopay. Next thing I know, Verizon app says my reward is on-hold due to a past-due balance which has NEVER BEEN TRUE as NO payment has ever been made late (see autopay enrollment above). Status then changed to cancelled since I became ineligible due to past-due balance timing. Surfing this message board this appears to be a standard and recurring Verizon scam. Honestly, Verizon should just not advertise it since it is false advertising and a scam. Will definitely encourage all my friends and family to stay away from Verizon. If there is a scam at this small level, I’d assume it is systemic. At least I know Verizon scams their customers now. Will be changing service providers.
