how to keep email in my verizon webmail after downloading to MS outlook?

It used to retain a copy online even when downloaded to my PC Microsoft Outlook but now if I download it to PC, it gets deleted online.  How can I retain it online and still download to Outlook?

Email>>Options>>Save Sent Messages

There is an option in Outlook to leave a copy of messages on the server. You will need to check the box.
