I thought that when Verizon moved from POP email would be synched across multiple devices. I use outlook on my mac laptop and descktop and have an iphone - How do I avoid repeating reading, deleting and responding 3 times?

Verizon is still using POP for their mail. They changed the server names and added SSL, but it's still POP.

Hmmmmmm. I got a notice from them some time ago that indicated that I needed to change my settings.

The problem is that the messages are being atutomatically downloaded to each device when they connect. The only way to prevent that is to change your device settings. Somewhere in the Outlook settings will be an option for when messages are removed from the server. You should be able to delete from the server the first time it is downloaded.

Thanks, I went to the preferences panel and couldn't find anything that fits this description. Wouldn't it be wonderful if these things worked intuitively?
