Pixel, Android 7.1.2, and low-level cell signal

I have a low-level Verizon cell signal at my house, only 1 or 2 bars at most, which is why I need Wi-Fi calling.here at home. Wi-Fi calling was working fine at my house with my Pixel on Android 7.1.1 (March update). Then my phone updated to Verizon's Android 7.1.2 build. After updating to 7.1.2, my phone lost battery charge much quicker than it did with Android 7.1.1 when just idling. Wi-Fi calling works on both 7.1.1 and 7.1.2, that's not a problem as far as I can tell. I'm guessing that with 7.1.2 that the cell radio is struggling to make the low cell signal useful, using up a lot of battery. Again this didn't happen with 7.1.1, battery usage at idle was "normal", even with a low cell signal as long as Wi-Fi calling was turned on.

Am I the only one seeing this with Android 7.1.2? Or are others experiencing a lot more battery discharge with Wi-Fi calling with a low cell signal on 7.1.2 than they did on 7.1.1? I've moved the Pixel back to Android 7.1.1 (March update), and things are working fine again.

If there's anyone here from Verizon support, any idea when this Android 7.1.2 problem will be fixed? I'd like to be able to move forward to Android 7.1.2 to get the security fixes, etc., but won't do that until this problem is fixed.
