I have a Google 6 pro unable to call 1-800 or 1-877 numbers. My connection is spotty so when someone calls from 1800 it goes straight to voicemail. It is annoying I cannot do any communication with 1800 numbers

Has this issue been resolved. I can't call Verizon, AAA, or AMEX by their 1-800 or 1-877 numbers. Please advise as this is very challenging for me.

One of my lines can call 1-800 numbers but the other cannot. Verizon needs to figure out why this is going on.

It can be a real hassle if you are unable to call 800- or 877- numbers, efronhollis. We will do all we can to help. When did this become an issue? Were there any recent software updates to the device or its apps? Is the user of the phone that cannot make the calls currently outside the US?

I am having this issue as well on both my phone and my wife's phone today. No 800 or 877 number will work as I get a message from Verizon that my call cannot be completed as dialed. Any non toll free number works fine.

Same issue +24 hours! Trying to solve it and total final.
tried to ask for reimbursement because o haven’t even used the line 1 day the first call was for 800 for banks and urgent topics I got nothing done but in the chat for hrs and the store .
asked for finally a reimbursement and the store send you to customer service wand the customer service to the store. They all through you anywhere for noting. NEVER use Verizon. Is expensive and worst service and quality ever.
they don’t even accept claims there is not form nothing. Everyone here we should sign a claim in the customer protection offices in the USA.
No solutions and no respect to put a formal claim.

Now I remembered why I got rid of this garbage! How can a cellphone carrier not be able to make toll free calls? Every website for banking and customer services includes a toll free phone number. For some reason Verizon can’t handle this advanced technology. I switched back to Verizon after a few years with another carrier. I was lured back in with their empty promises. For 3 days after the transfer I couldn’t even text. 6 Verizon employees later and that issue seems to have been resolved. I do still have my concerns that I am not receiving everything, including phone calls. But now this? Seriously? We can’t click on a toll free number to be connected with the party we’re trying to reach? Is this “service” really worth these astronomical prices? In my opinion, NO!

We definitely want you to have the best experience! In some areas, the 1 is optional to make calls. In other areas, the 1 can't be dialed. So, the details for each person are different, depending on location. What I did is update my contacts list, so they don't include the 1. That way, I no longer had the issue. We're here to help if you are having issues with phone calls. What's happening? Is the issue outgoing or incoming calls?

We definitely want you to be able to call all toll free numbers! I'd like to take a closer look into this for you. Tell me, what is the make and model of the phone that can't make these calls? What recording is heard when they try, and when did it begin? Please let me know, thanks!

Jordan ~ I am having this same problem. I have an IPhone 8. I'm not sure when exactly it began as I don't normally call 855#s. I first started yesterday and it just immediately goes to a User Busy with the busy signal. My husband does not have the same problem. This is about an insurance claim so I need to be able to contact the claims office ASAP. Please feel free to reach out to me.

Good morning, MindyKnuffman. We want you to be able to call any number from your Verizon Wireless phone (including 855 numbers) and we want you to have an excellent experience with your phone.
Were you able to call 855 numbers before?
What is your phone model?
Please add +1 before the 855 number (+1-855-number) when you call and see if that works. keep us posted.

Now affecting my phone also, very aggravating. Any toll-free number dialed, whether it be 1-800 or 1-866, instantly goes to a recording - "Welcome to Verizon Wireless, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again. Announcement 4." Yes, everything is triple-checked and it happens with every single toll-free number. The other people on my family plan have no issues with this at all, and I have not changed any settings on my phone (iPhone 13 Pro). I have several service calls I make each day, and now have to borrow other people's phones to make the calls. Help!!

I had same issue. Tried several things. Finally turned phone off, popped out SIM card holder w/SIM card and then put it back in. Turned phone back on and am able to dial 800#'s. Hope this works for you as well.

I talked to Verizon Wireless via chat, and they suggested calling the number without the 1 up front, and amazingly this is actually working for me!
