Can't search internet

I can't search on the Google icon. I type one letter and it closes. Also lost anything that I'd saved to my desktop this morning. Can't use some apps I don't know what's going on

Having the same issue. Many of my apps are also crashing.

I too had this issue.  A colleague suggested trying it without WiFi, so I did and then the browsers worked.  I then re-enabled WiFi and at this time they remain functional.  I don't know why this worked, but it might be worth a shot.

Please follow the steps below on how to update. Once Android System WebView and Google Chrome have been updated, please power cycle your phone.

1. Navigate to Play Store app
2. Search for Android System WebView
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview)
3. Select the "Update" option
4. Repeat these steps for Google Chrome (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome)
