Google Pixel 3 OEM Unlocking / Downgrade to Android 10

My Google Pixel 3 is a piece of garbage.  This used to be a good phone, but since upgrading to Android 11 - it won't last 5 minutes off a charger before it shuts off with a low battery alert.  (I do not believe it is a real battery issue - as other people have similar Pixel/Android11/battery issues; they've gone on to replace the battery without any improvement.)  I get no help from Google support.  I would like to downgrade to Android 10 that was originally installed, and functional, on the phone.  I get no help from Verizon support in unlocking the bootloader.  I don't know who's vying for the worst customer service in America award (Google, Verizon or Amerigas)?

Please tell me how I can OEM unlock my Google Pixel phone.  If not, please tell me how to downgrade back to the original Android 10 on my phone.  My daughter's Google Pixel phone, purchased at the same time (BOGO), is running Android 10 and working perfectly fine. (I'm not phone savvy and didn't disable automatic updates.)

The phone is paid off, out of warranty, and I take full responsibility for the phone/data should my actions of unlocking the bootloader damage the phone/data.

What is Verizon official statement/rationale about why it won't OEM Unlock the phone?

Marteeeen, we are truly sorry to hear about your experience with your device. Making sure your phone is functioning properly is vital. Allow us the opportunity to assist. We do not have the ability to enable the OEM function on your device. Additionally, once you upgrade your device to the latest software, you will not be able to retract back to a previous software.  Can you please share more details about your device experience? Does your phone have any physical or liquid damage? Also, are you still using the provided charger that came with your device?

Yes, since upgrading to Android 11, my Google Pixel 3 is a piece of garbage.

Does your phone have any physical or liquid damage?

Been treated like a swaddled baby, until Google Pixel Android 11 upgrade damaged it.

Also, are you still using the provided charger that came with your device?

Yes, not 100% of the time (who only uses 1 charger?) - is it your claim that using other USB-3 chargers would damage the phone???

If you won't unlock bootloader or let me downgrade to Android 10, then thanks, thanks for nothing...

Dude. Majority of Verizon customers don't even know what a bootloader is, why would the average underpaid rep know? Even for the ones that do, they can't do anything about it because there is no way to unlock it through support. That's your fault for not buying the phone originally through Google instead of Verizon.

Same goes for software updates. There isn't a undo function once it upgrades.

Marteeeen - the last thing we ever want to read about is that you're having to stay connected to a charger all the time. I know that I wouldn't want that feeling. Anytime you are not using an approved charger that comes with the phone or purchased via the manufacturer, there can be times it causes some glitches. I realize this is not the response you were looking for, but we do want to be transparent. As we are not the manufacturers of the phones, we do not have anything to do with the software. As your wireless provider, we test out the software with the manufacturer before it is released to make sure there are not any problems. Google is the company that produces the software & they have not informed us that the Android 11 software version is causing this issue with the phone not staying charged. We can certainly continue to troubleshoot this with you, as having a phone that stays charged is critical. When you put your phone in Safe Mode, does this issues happen as well? Here is how to put your phone in Safe Mode: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-220010/

I hear you update to Android 11.

I have a tedious reply that may take some time to work out, but others have found their solution in it.

Try to consider factory resetting the phone back to fresh. Take photos of the lock screen, write down any logins, and remember your google account, make sure you can login into your Google account on another device to be sure you still can. Best bet is to print any recovery codes to your Google account ''juuuust in case''

Then go ahead and press the power button and volume up and boot into the bootloader menu and do a 'reset'.

Then setup the phone as like it's new again-

If you've already tried that, then feel free to reply.
