The update is available and has been since 11/06/2017 which is also the same date as the Pixel (1) phones for the same security updates. I didn't get the security update until 11/16/2017 on my Pixel (1). Two weeks would have been yesterday, but I don't expect Google to have pushed it to all of the devices within two weeks. Three weeks would have been what I expected to get all the devices updated.

Have you tried manually checking for it?

Yes...I have been doing manual checks....

Why do you feel Google would not be able to get these out to all the devices in the span of 2 weeks?  Just what you have seen in the past or information from another site?

I can understand a major version update to Oreo taking while to get to all devices, but this is just a security patch, something I would imagine would have a bit or urgency

I'm going by my past experience with the Pixel phone and the Nexus devices.

Google says that it is Verizon that is holding up things. All phones would have been updated 2 weeks after the release of the security patch; we are past the 2 week mark.

Just passing the information, it would seem Google and Verizon need work on communication

I have a Pixel 2 XL from Google.  I still don't have the update, and there are people in my office that don't have the update either on either their 2 or XL from Google.

Google has always done a staggered release and it can take up to a month for some people.  Go back about a week ago in this thread and read some of the links I posted.  It's how Google works.  They don't push updates to everyone all at once.

No one is asking to push them out all at once, though Apple seems to have success with that strategy, something Google could perhaps learn something from…..

The November software update for Pixel is rolling out starting today, and it will reach all devices over the next week. This update includes some of the enhancements we posted about on October 26, such as the new Saturated color mode for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, a fix for the faint clicking noise heard in some Pixel 2s, and other bug and security updates. As we mentioned in our deeper dive, this update also brings planned UI changes which extend the life of the OLED display, including a fade out of the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen and an update to maximum brightness. These features have been carefully designed so as not to detract from the user experience. Since all OLED displays experience some degree of decay over time, we’ll continue to make enhancements which maximize the life of your Pixel screen.

He needs to correct himself.  You can go to XDA and people who didn't get their Pixels from Verizon are still waiting for their updates and wondering what is taking so long.  You don't have to take my word for it, but for as long as I have purchased Nexus devices(from the Nexus One to the Pixel 2) Google has NEVER pushed out updates to all devices within a  week.  It's always WEEKS.  There's actually record of this on XDA and other type of forums like this one.  The only way you can count it within a week is if you include the factory image, and OTA image they posted which you can sideload to get the update.

They are all the same whether from Google or bought from Verizon Full OTA Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices  |  Google APIs for Android  |  Google Developers

28 October, still nothing. I'm curious, is this community has official Verizon specialist?

This is primarily a peer-to-peer forum.  While VzW reps respond in some threads, it isn't guaranteed and may take a few days.

The update has nothing to do with them.  If you haven't gotten it you haven't gotten it.  A lot of people have not regardless of where you bought the Pixel 2.  Check other forums like XDA and you will find out the Google store purchased ones a lot of people have not gotten the update yet either.
