Pixel 3 XL LTE poor call quality

I lose LTE on my Pixel 3XL and I'm constantly told that my voice is in audible or "static-ky". My area has full 4G coverage yet not on my phone . I received a new SIM card which helped some but the problem still exists. Is there a "Lemon" clause for this phone ?

It is important that you are able to make calls with good quality, mrdlj. Do you notice that your quality improves in other areas? Does it improve if you use a headset? Are there other devices on the Verizon Wireless network in the same area that are not experiencing problems with call quality?

My work phone, a Samsung Galaxy S9 works just fine here at home.  
 
The Pixel improves if I use the headset itself,no speakerphone but not what it was when I bought it.
 
I have attached two images below one shows the 4G indicator with Wi-Fi ON( no LTE) and one shows the indicator with Wi-Fi OFF(LTE weak signal)..
