Pixel on Verizon, iPhone on AT&T

I have a Pixel on the Verizon network and an iPhone on the AT&T network.  At times voice reception on the Pixel is horrible.  I can change phones and use the iPhone and there are no issues in the same location.  I don't know whether it is the phone or the network. How can I find out?  If it is the Pixel, what can be done, if anything?
