I have 4 accounts on verizon over the past 6 years. This is the first issue I've had and I cant get in touch with anyone to help. Waited 2 hours on the phone for customer service, text was an absolute waste of time and the store people were rude and pretty much they only do sales.
My phone loses reception 30 minutes at a time (get an "x" over the signal) in areas where I typically get great reception. Ive reset the phone 50 times, reset my network connections numerous times (reprogramming wifi and bluetooth over and over is no fun..) and changed out my sim card. Still nothing. Incredibly frustrating. Verizon's customer service has been absolutely terrible.

I'm concerned to hear that your phone service is going out randomly for such long periods of time. When did you begin having trouble with your device? What is the make & model of the phone you are having difficulty with?
