Pixel 5a not receiving SMS messages.

We want to make sure we are on the same page, poija01. You have Google Fi active on this phone? Were you porting a phone number to Verizon?

Hi Christopher,

No, google Fi has never been active on this phone.   We moved a current active number to this phone.  Also did this with a 2nd pixel 5a that is working as expected, except this second phone is not Fi capable.

Thank you for offering these helpful details. I would suggest trying to adjust the Chat feature setting under Messages> Menu> Settings. Try to turn it off and back on if it is On.-Yale

Yes- we've tried that - and all there other suggestions we could find on the various forums.  THey haven't helped.

After 6 weeks - hours on the phone and in chat with Verizon, we finally reached one of the Verizon people that was familiar with the Pixel 5a texting problem and it was corrected as of about 12:30 this afternoon.
