Used Locked Pixel 7a

I bought a refurbished Google Pixel 7a from amazon for a good price and I would like to install Graphene OS.  Problem is OEM unlocking is greyed out because this is a carrier locked phone apparently.

How do I go about removing the Verizon carrier / bootloader lock to allow me to access the bootloader?

And please don't say "You don't need to access that" because I absolutely do.

Resolution Update: By partnering with support, we were able to clarify that to unlock the bootloader, you’ll want to reach out to the respective manufacturer of that device. If others have similar questions related Android based bootloaders, I recommend reviewing this Android.com page relating to locking and unlocking bootloaders: https://source.android.com/docs/core/architecture/bootloader/locking_unlocking

Glad we could clarify this, and as always we’re a few clicks away should anyone need us. -John
