I replaced my Pixel 2XL with a Pixel 5 a few weeks back and would like to give my 2XL to a friend as one his kids needs a phone. However, I'm on Verizon and he's on Sprint. Is there anything that I/he needs to do other to get it to work, if it can be done, that is. I'm sure he'll need a Sprint SIM card for it but I'm not sure if there's anything else that needs to be done.

That is very thoughtful of you to do that and I am sure it will be appreciated. As long as the phone is unlocked, there would not be anything else that you would need to do with us. However, we cannot guarantee that it will work with an outside carrier even when unlocked as there are a number of factors that can impact this. Here is more information:
