What happened to customer service????

I made an insurance claim for a screen replacement on my google pixel that I got 29 days ago. I wanted to return it and they told me they couldn't take it back due to the scratch.  It was a minor scratch and nothing was wrong with my phone prior, so I took it to the place that verizon told me to go which was called "You Break It I fix" in Denver CO. The screen replacement tech broke my phone. When I got my phone back, it wouldn't even turn on. The screen was lifted and not put back together correctly. So, being a verizon customer I went straight to the verizon store to get help. Thye told me there is nothing they can do to help. I am fed up with Verizon and their insurance claim provider. Customer service is poor.

PLEASE READ: If you bought your phone 29 days ago I assume it is a Pixel 9 or Pixel 10 series. There have been NO confirmed reports of battery swelling on Pixel 9 or 10 phones. The swelling batteries have occurred in older Pixel 6 and 7 phones. What you described is a botched repair job by that shop. Either that shop or Verizon needs to make this right and cover that botched repair.

If the screen is lifted, is it possible the battery swelled and pushed the phone apart?  That is a completely different issue, and if nothing else, I'd report the problem to Google as swollen batteries are a fire hazard.  With the phone being new, it should be a warranty replacement.

But if the repair tech messed up and broke the screen, I'd complain to Asurion (? - I think that's the company which handles the insurance claims which go through the UBreakIFix repair shops).

We hate to hear that this happened, Bonnie20 and we want to make sure that you get the best options. If the screen is lifted it may be something to do with a swelling battery, or an error that we'll want to have the shop fix. If you haven't already returned to the shop where the repair was originally done, we'll want to start there, and work with our insurance team, Asurion, to repair or replace the device. You can file a cliam with Asurion from www.phoneclaim.com/verizon. We hope this helps!

Do not report this to Google as a swollen battery claim. This is a messed up repair job.
