Thanks so much for that information, hodel.

Devices that are purchased from Verizon are locked for 60 days after purchase. Devices that are purchased from one of our authorized retailers are locked for 60 days after activation.

After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock unless the device is deemed stolen or purchased fraudulently: https://www.verizon.com/support/device-unlocking-policy/

I'm afraid that the only way we can view the device's lock status would be through the original owner, as we would need to authenticate the account under which the device was originally purchased. In this case, we would recommend reaching out to the seller/original owner.

We hope this helps!

Log into your Verizon account and use the live chat feature; that's the best way to connect to Verizon customer support.

We appreciate the additional details. Is this a device that you purchased directly from us? Do you have a Verizon account?

We're very sorry, however, we're unable to unlock any third party devices. We recommend reaching back out to the seller for help with unlocking your device.

Hi there, hodel. We'd be happy to clear up any concerns regarding your device's SIM. Could you please tell us a bit more about what you're trying to do with your device? Where was your phone purchased?
