Having poor Verizon network signal strength with Pixel 7 phone. Also signal jumps between LTE and 5G while in same place. Generally more time on LTE than 5G even close to Verizon cell towers. Other devices have higher signal strength. Is this a known problem with Pixel 7 or a Verizon signal issue?

I know I would be concerned if my device was having a similar network experience, while other devices were not in the same area, hughesvillbill. We're here to help! To start, based on what you've described, this sounds like it is more device related than network related. If it was the network, all the devices would be having a similar experience. Let's get some additional details. When did this particular issue first start happening? What, if anything, has recently changed with the Pixel 7 (software updates, new apps/app updates, etc.)?

Hi Joseph
Thanks for connecting. Since I submitted my issue I first worked with a Google tech. After going through a number of steps and not finding anything significant, he coached me to reset the device (big hassle, of course) and then we verified settings. No significant improvement. I then worked with a Verizon Wireless tech. Again we went through a number of checks finding nothing incorrect. As a last resort he recommended replacing the physical SIM with an eSIM. We did that and, again, he checked appropriate network settings.
I am experiencing some improvement in signal strength and 5G stickiness. My next step will be to compare these with friends with different phones.
The good news is that both the Google and VZW techs were easy to work with, knowledgeable, and, especially, patient.

Thanks for sharing. I have the same phone and I'm having the same issues. I've taken all the same troubleshooting steps with the exception of getting the esim which will be next. Have you found any resolution?

Signal strength and consistency do seems to improved. Whether it's the esim or VZW's 5G / uw5G network is getting better I don't know. I've become more accustomed to the flipping back and forth between 5G and LTE and am less concerned by it. My friend has the new high-end Samsung phone and when we compared signal type and strength recently we got the same result.
One of the reasons I went through the hassle of the conversion to esim was the idea that upgrades to sim technology could be delivered "over the air" rather than getting a new physical sim. I've gotten no indications of an upgrade since the esim was installed.
Summary - I'm satisfied, at least for now, re both Pixel 7 and VZW service.
