Is Palm Pre compatible with Palm Desktop

I currently use Palm Desktop and have a Palm TX handheld device. If I get a Palm Pre, will I be able to transfer my data from Palm Desktop onto the phone?

Also, is there a way to sync data from Palm Desktop to Palm Pre on a daily basis, similar to the way I sync Palm Desktop to Palm TX?

I got Pre Plus this past week (2) and have synced both with my desktop Palm

used the product Companion Link

worked well using the USB connection

also, as a note, I synced with the old level of deskto[ (4.1.4)

Have not done a lot of testing becasue of a problem I had that will force me to exchange the PREs

I am converting from a PALM Treo. I think I will eventually be able to transfer and Sync. It is not intuitive and may take an app or 2.
