Palm Centro 690 pay as you go?

Can I put the Palm Centro 690 on a pay as you go plan? I think the 99¢ daily plan would fit me perfectly, as I would probably not use it daily and most people I know are on verizon. Do not need a data plan. Also, is there an activation fee for a new phone/customer?

Another question about the 99¢ daily plan (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/prepay/processPrePayRequest.do?type=ppdaily# ) would the 10¢ anytime minutes be applied to a 1800 toll free numbers?

I believe that plan you mentioned is only for feature phones. The Palm is a smartphone and wouldn't qualify for that plan.

Bummer. Are there other pay as you go options? Or other prepay. I could see paying $100 for a year of use,
