I have been syncing my Centro to Outlook using a cable with my Windows XP laptop at work. The laptop has been replaced with one running Windows 7, which does not support Palm Desktop. I got sync working using VirtualXP mode, but after one month it expired because it thought I needed to install a separate license for Outlook. At least, I think taht's what happened. I had lots of emails with my corporate support staff and they told me that VirtualXP wasn't supposed to be used the way I was using it. Now they want my XP laptop back.
Is there some way I can continue to sync the Centro with Outlook? In case it helps, I have home computers with XP and Win7, but can't connect either computer through the corporate firewall due to security policy.
Hello Old_Professor, welcome to the community!
Have you tried downloading Palm Desktop on your Windows 7 computer? I found some info on Palm's website that says while they haven't fully tested the software on Windows 7 and don't support it, many users have been able to get it to work. See more info here. If it is not working, you may need to look at third party applications to sync with Outlook.
