My Treo no longer connects for Activesync synchronization. I have tried reinstalling on WinXP and Vista, and two different cables. No connection. Anything else I can try? Wipe Treo and start over? But if I cannot connect, I cannot reinstall anything. I am stuck. Will Verizon do a hardware repair if I take the phone to one of their stores?
About a year ago, i had a similar problem. It turned out that the contacts on the bottom of the phone had become dirty, What a surprise after 3+ years.
I cleaned the contacts with electronic contact cleaner. I have done this a couple of time and it has cleared up problems with connecting.
