I used to be a big user of my palm treo 750 on verizon, the network was always reliable no matter where I went. unfortunately, I lost my job, and was unable to pay the $49.99 a month for the unlimited data plan, and had to drop back to voice only. I was told several times over the past year and a half that the $29.99 data plan was available, but I just got dumped from department to department any time I asked for it, a few times being told "check back in the future, we may add your phone to the list.
I was then told by a family member who works in a verizon call center that the $29.99 is available for the phone, and when she called them on my behalf they said I needed a "software upgrade" to be compatible for the $29.99 data plan. I did the update to have it tell me I was already using the most current software.
Upon calling verizon again, I was told there "isn't even an option on the screen for it". has this hopefully changed? if not, any idea when it will be available?
I have done some research for you, and I believe you will be glad to hear after speaking with Customer Service you can activate your Palm Treo 750 and have the $29.99 data plan as long as you do not need access to a cooperate email account. You will need to contact Customer Service if you decide to activate your equipment to notify us which data plan fits your needs.
