Data but no voice or sms - extended network

In eastern PA - data (3g) works fine on extended network - but no voice or sms - this is on a thunderbolt and also same issue with galaxy s3.  What gives?

Johnh123, that’s no fun! I’m sorry to hear of the issues you are having. Having a reliable phone and being able to stay connected is very important. But don’t worry because I’m here to help!

Are you still having issues with SMS and calls? If so, where are you located when you have this issue (zip code)? Are you experiencing this while indoors only? Are you getting an error message when placing a call or sending a text message? I’ve checked and do not show any reported issues in your area. Do you have other lines having the same issue?

Try rebooting the phone by removing the battery and SIM card for a minute or two and retest. Keep me posted if you are still unable to make/receive calls and text. I’ll be more than happy to further assist.
