Anyone having problems with emails not being sent, specifically with outlook 2010. I recently have not been able to send emails using my outlook/ road runner email. Email functions properly from my desktop/laptop. My Thunderbolt keeps saying it is not a valid email acct.

Android Roadrunner Settings:
It is most likely your email settings for the incoming and outgoing server. It tries to auto-configure the settings, but if not, you would need to input the correct settings.
I actually talked to Roadrunner, and they said the outgoing mail server for phones is mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com port is 587.
Also, ensure Authentication is checked but SSL is not.
If you use the normal outgoing mail server the messages will not be sent. They block their regular outgoing mail server if you are not using their Internet connection.
Step 1 - Remove the account altogether.
Step 2 - Re-add the account and ensure it checks for settings automatically
Step 3 - Once you re-add it and it auto-configures the account, you need to edit it. From main screen, press menu> settings> accounts & sync, touch Roadrunner account> Account settings> account settings again> next> next again> here you need to ensure my bolded settings above are put in properly:
1) Login required is checked.
2) Username is full email address username@area.rr.com
3) Password is standard email password
4) SMTP server: mobile-smtp.roadrunner.com
5) Security type: None
6) Server port: 587

Anyone have problems syncing email? I am using the Thunderbol & SBC Global (yahoo) email. Set up was a royal pain and the email doesn't really sync with my phone. I deleted the account & started again (Another royal pain!). I have all the proper settings.
Basically - I can get email on my phone but it doesn't Sync back with my mail on my pc - i.e., messages marked read, deleted, etc. I also can't access any of my mail folders from my phone. This is really disappointing as I just switched from the EVO on Sprint and it was all working great there!

Hello Michelle13,
I know this can be frustrating. Please verify your incoming server is pop.att.yahoo.com and port: 995. Your outgoing server should be smtp.att.yahoo.com and port 465. Your secure connection (SSL) should be checked and full email address should be used. Please let me know if you continue to experience difficulty with this issue.

DaisyP, do these same settings apply to the HTC Incredible 2? I can set up my bellsouth account any number of ways and receive but will not send.

Check the settings listing in bearone21's post. It has what should be the proper bellsouth settings.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Apparently, my impatience reared it's ugly head. The settings worked. Thanks to both of you.

I'm also having e-mail problems. Can receive mail - I have two roadrunner (pop) accounts, and can receive mail, but can't send any out, though I was able to send them out when I first got the phone on Monday. Didn't try again until today, and no go. Spent two hours on the phone between Time Warner and Verizon Tech support. Tech support finally suggested downloading K9 mail program off the market, and it worked upon initial setup. Within an hour, I could no longer send out mail again, I have uninstalled and reinstalled K9 several times, mostly because it has rebooted while in the setup process, losing all info, but it has no worked any time I actually did get my accounts setup. My accounts work just fine on my computer. The stock mail program doesn't give a reason why it can't send them out, the K9 program tells me that there is a problem connecting to the outgoing mail server sometimes, and other time it tells me there's an authentification error. Getting really frustrated.
