HTC ONE?

What is up with the HTC One? Why is Verizon putting up new phones, but holding back the BEST CURRENTLY AVAILABLE PHONE? What is Verizon up to this time? What's up with not announcing a release date? Who else is about to jump ship to another carrier due to this mess Verizon created? Why does it ALWAYS take Verizon so long to release phones? Why did the GS4 come out so quick?
Wonder if HTC can sue Verizon because of this ... Wouldn't be surprised!
Wouldn't be surprised if this post gets deleted!

Why couldn't you have added your thoughts on the existing multi-page discussion on this device? Was it really necessary to create another thread?

I searched the site for HTC ONE and got a bunch of garbage back, nothing about the HTC ONE. As a matter of fact, the Verizon search page suggested that I was searching for Marijuana related info ("THC").
One additional question: Wouldn't it be more productive to post the link to said discussion, rather than what you did?

Check out 'HTC ONE part 2'
https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/798729
There was activity in it this morning and is in the same space you created this post. So it couldn't have been too far down on the page.

You did demonstrate the current thought process of Verizon's "Customer Service" or LACK THERE OF! This response alone seems like a good reason to jump ship. Should I refer the cancelation department back to you and your HELPFUL comments/questions?

I am a customer not a service representative. This is a peer to peer customer forum not a direct link to customer service support.

Seems to me like her response was merely a reflection of the tone of your first post. Every time there is a device released on another carrier that a couple verizon customers want, this place gets clogged with a whole chunk of threads asking the same when, why where questions about the device. It gets real old trying to wade through those threads to find someone who needs help with a real problem.

I wouldn't call all the people that switched or are waiting for the htc one "a few people".

I also don't call another thread "necessary"... what's your point?

My point is verizon doesn't seem to care about customer satisfaction. Only having a few good phones at the so called "biggest network" is like walmart having one of each type of thing (i.e. one kind of cereal, one kind of toy)

That point has absolutely no validity in this argument. If enough customers left, then they would do something to change it. As it stands, they get enough customers on merit of their coverage alone that losing a handful due to not having a particular device isn't a concern.

Not every carrier gets every phone. I would bet that Verizon has as many or more smartphones than the next guy. I'm not a fan of moto phones but a lot of people are and Verizon typically gets the best of their devices. I'm sure if you check other forums you'd find similar threads but it would be at&t customers wanting the razr maxx or something.

I don't know who would want a droid when u basically get the software that came with it since it'll probly get maaaybe one update before they stop supporting it. I mean look at the droid dna. Good phone but terrible support. But where not talking about exclusives here you already know that motorolas droids are gonna be exclusive to verizon thats a given. (AT&T is getting the moto x first and as of now they are the only carrier that you can customize the phones color with) I'm talking about major flagship phones that are on all the other carriers (or at least 2 of the 4).

You do know the Droid Ultra is actually a better phone than the MOTO X right? And Nexus phones are not flagship phones. So that leaves, currently, off the top of my head, the S4, Note 3, ONE and G2, all of which will be on Verizon. Now which, exactly, flagship phone will Verizon not get?

Did you not listen to the part where I stated nobody wants a "droid" phone. It might not be a "flagship" but it has the best specs and smoothest android experience. Him let's see phones that Verizon didn't get: HTC one line before the HTC one came out, Sony xperia z, HTC butterfly s(unless that make it the DNA 2), uhh they got the iPhone like 6 years after it came out, and lots of other phones I can't remember. Now which, exactly, flagship phone did Verizon get? Very few.

The MOTO X has lower specs than the new DROID line and you haven't used it, so you can't tell if it has the smoothest Android experience (side note, it will be running the same Android with the same minimal UI skin as the DRIODs). I'll give you the One X and the Xperia Z (even though Verizon does not carry Sony phones), but the Butterfly S is a China (or maybe Japan) exclusive, no other US carrier has it, and, after the AT&T exclusive, Verizon was the first carrier to have the iPhone. Verizon has the S3, S4, Note 2, soon to have Note 3, soon to have the LG G2, soon to have the ONE, the iPhone, the new Blackberries, the HTC 8X, the Lumia 928, soon to have the MOTO X, and that's just off the top of my head. You also have to remember that the OEMs aren't always willing to make a CDMA variant of their phones. It's not always Verizon's fault but, like I've said before, there are always other places to go if you have to have a particular phone.

I know they have better specs but their specs are all mid ranged. Motorola hasn't made a 1080p quad core phone yet. And Verizon has had Sony phones before like the xperia play. Verizon's selection isn't horrible its actually pretty good but they always never get a some of the best phones. Oh and I forgot the oppo find 5 that phone looked pretty good and was made of like steel I think but nope only at&t got it. I wish Verizon would just switch over to gsm or the other companies would switch to CDMA.

you'll get your wish eventually.......when they are all just lte, but that's a long time down the road. and i can't blame verizon for passing on sony for a while after the experia play. it didn't sell at all and was a nightmare of a device. i love the new sonys though, but i can't blame them for passing. i know people who aren't fans of motorola don't want to hear this, but the fact is motorolas sell very well because they partner with verizon and market. i've never had one because they've just never peaked my interest, but verizon goes with what moves off the shelf. they missed the mark with the One, but in my opinion, they blew that long before anyone knew the One was coming. verizon has always been off with the htc schedule. for the past few years, they've launched their slightly better htc, slightly later (tbolt 7 months after the Evo. DNA 6months after OneX, OneS or whatever). they were stuck with that dna deal likely before they even knew htc would attempt a universal line like the galaxy. i only hope they aren't in for too many One units or they'll be in the same boat when it's next version comes out.....but i'm guessing the are only committed to a much smaller number of units than they typically would be.

I think that, in addition to this, because of their weird HTC schedule, their HTC phones just don't sell very well. So, it leaves a bad taste in Verizon's mouth and they waffle a bit on the next release. Or, maybe HTC doesn't like Verizon because their phones never sell well, so they hold things back. It's really hard to say who's at fault here, but it's not like Verizon doesn't have other options, or there is no where else to go.

Did you ever think that maybe the other carriers paid MUCH MORE to have the phone exclusive to them for x amount of time. Remember ions ago when you could only get an iPhone from ATT? There was more griping and crying on here wondering why VZW wont get the phone..... Exclusivity is the answer.
