The M7 may stay on 5.0.2...once it is released.
FWIW: That HTC Software Updates page is way out of date.
This screenshot was from the page just now, on 12 June:
And yet my M7 received Android Lollipop, 5.0.2 a month ago -- on 14 May.
So I'd say that stuff posted on that page is unreliable.
Article speaks to 5.1 not coming, not 5.0.2. 5.0.2 is suggested to be the last update.

The first post says "The M7 may stay on 5.0.2...once it is released." Well, it already has been released -- a month ago.
And I was also pointing out that it's not productive to look at the HTC Software updates page since it shows that Lollipop for Verizon M7 is still in Certification Stage -- which hasn't been true for at least a month -- when it was released.
