Where is the ICS update for Thunderbolt? Need more programmers to yank out the good parts of Android? Can we expect it Today? Tomorrow? Next week? Next Month? Perhaps a year from now. 2 years? Why did I buy this phone that held so much promise, yet was ignored by both the maker and carrier? I wish I knew. Maybe my wife and I will head elsewhere when or contracts are up. I understand T-Mobile has unlimited data plans again.
Go ahead and slam away. I'm just sick of being promised service and receiving...not a thing.

It's not ready yet. A little patience here.

I do not care for updates of any kind. The original software usually runs best. Less rollover of hardware and less rollout of software would most likely make for a better Verizon and Android experience. Imo.

If you don't like software updates, maybe you should use that DROID Eris you mentioned having in another thread. I believe HTC and Verizon are mostly certaintly done sending out software updates on that phone. I on the other hand, feel that while there were bumps in the road that software updates on the Thunderbolt have improved its functionality each time.

I've had my thunderbolt for a while now, I am actually happy with it. I've never had to change it. When I first got it, I had a few minor problems, but since the last few updates including gingerbread, it had been fine. I am just as upset as everyone else that Verizon and HTC made this phone look like it was going to be the iphone killer. Well, guess what almost 2yrs later and this phone can't compare to even the regular HTC EVO. It seems that you guys again will miss the august deadline to upgrade the TBolt to ICS. I am already thinking that being stuck in a carrier contract is not worth anything. When my contract is up, my wife and I are moving to another carrier.
PS. Maybe you should just give us Jelly Bean. That would make your Tbolt faithful really happy.

I don't have a problem with waiting to make sure this does not hurt the customers who are still hanging with the TBolt. Remember HTC said July or Aug, guess what? Tomorrow is Sept 1st. If I was to promise a deadline to my boss at work and I am off by 2months, guess where I will be? unemployment line. That's the real issue.

Thank you for the link. It obvious that they are ignoring the public right now. Oh, don't get my wrong. my wife update is for november and mine is next May 2013. So, am as bad as you are right now. My Spouse says that she is leaving Verizon.

What annoys me most is no information being provided. I could accept a statement stating the problem, what they are doing to fix it, and an estimated new delivery date for the update. I am not a big heavy user of the phone, but even with the extended battery I can not make it through a normal work day if I do not have it plugged in to a wall outlet.

LOL, If and when they decide to update the TBolt to ICS. I hope its impressive, because if it not, all Tbolt owners should complain.
