Home button problem

With my HTC Rezound every once in a while (rarely happens) the home button starts acting like I am repeatedly pressing it. Usually that clears up within a few minutes or with a phone reset, but this time it started last night and hasn't stopped. Multiple phone resets and battery pulls have done nothing. It's not a constant thing as it does it a lot to where I cannot even use the phone and then may do it slow where I can do a few quick things on the phone.

During it doing what it does sometimes when I press the power button it takes a screenshot as well.

Any idea what could be causing the problem?
