Hotmail account is not syncing to my phone

When I first got my phone and setup the account it worked fine. Now it doesn't work at all. I would really like to receive my emails. I was going to delete the account and re-enter it but I don't want to loose my contacts. Can someone help Please?

That is unfortunate that your emails aren’t syncing. I have had this happen to my device before. It is pretty easy to resolve. First, I would delete the account by following these steps:

  1. From the home screen, touch Mail
  2. Display should be in existing email box, touch Menu
  3. Touch More
  4. Touch Settings
  5. User will see below options:
    1. Delete Account

    

Then I would re-add the account by following these steps:

  1. From the home screen, touch the Menu.
  2. Touch Al Apps
  3. Tap mail
  4. Select mail provider
  5. Enter desired email address and password
  6. Tap Next
  7. Device displays checking settings and displays "Your account is setup"
  8. Give this account a name (optional)
  9. Enter the desired Email address and Password then touch Next.

I am certain by following these instructions you will be able to have your emails syncing to your phone. Thanks.
