So I know an update came out awhile back for the Thunderbolt to update to Gingerbread. My phone still has not ever updated and is still operating on the old 2.2 froyo. Is this to be expected? I can't believe it would take this long for the software to be rolled out OTA to all users.....I called in a few times and they keep telling me it takes time, but I have had the phone almost a year now and people just purchasing them are getting the update...could it be a possible flaw with the phone? I am not a fan of warranty replacements so if there is anything I can do to resolve this myself as opposed to replacing the phone, I'm all ears!
Thanks for any responses in advance!

Have you manually checked for an update? If so, is there a message with it?
There might be ways to manually apply the update, but it often will also force a factory reset of the phone. You should be prepared for that possibility if you go that route.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
