I couldn't agree more. There verbage implies a very specific meaning not s broad one. Verizon has no legal leg to stand on.

Its not a lawsuit. Its a complaint to my State AG concerning whether or not Verizon is in violation of our Consumer Protection Laws. I thimk they are, but that will be for the AG to decide.

A number of companies do this to allow the developer community to refine the software bugs and fixes for them.... Why pay a developer team to track down and fix every bug when a good leak version will get it done for free from the community.
Its actually a smart method to practice and on the same note it also give the manufacture knowledge of security vulnerabilities when the community find ways to bypass security options.
The corporate world is a funny thing... But smart.

on every single flyer in the store in late 2011.
on their website in late 2011.
by my sales person in late 2011.
rezound will be updated in "ealy 2012".
now, whether you can call that a "promise" or not depends on your own ethics.
but by plugging and promoting the fact the rezound was getting updated in "early 2012" was a certain selling point for the phone.
so i do feel lied to and deceived by htc and verizon because i believed them.
my bad.

Is this your first android phone? Never believe any update schedules especially that far ahead of time. And buying a phone for expected features/updates will just leave you disappointed.

Don't feel that way. When you lie and deceive to sell something that's called fraud. In the State of Ohio, it could be a violation of the Consumer Sales Practices Act of 1972.

We didn't buy it based on future features. We bought these phones with features that should have been enabled since day 1. Specifically the dual core processor. Android Gingerbread is not a multi-threaded OS, so only one core of the Snapdragon Processor is currently being utilized. Until Verizon gives us Ice Cream Sandwich (the first multi-threaded OS) I will consider my phone not as described and a fraud.
