We are all tired of frequently Googling for when Verizon is going to officially release the Ice Cream Sandwich OTA update for our HTC Rezounds. Please feel free to add to the discussion about the update, but most importantly, let us know when you personally receive the ICS OTA update!

...so we can stop wasting valuable hours every day just Googling...

I was assured by the salesperson the rezound would be getting the ICS update this summer, I know (caviat and so forth) still Im starting to wonder if this phone will be by-passed altogether in reality. Seems this phone never really caught on, was also introduced in between the razor, the new samsung and the incredible 4G, which all now have the ICS operating system, I cant seem to get any info from the Verizon folks, could be they dont know either.  Anyway, this is a well built phone and seems to be working as it should, a definite upgrade in quality over the Charge, however, I feel I was sold on a deal that isnt going to happen, Ill be looking for other providers by August if these phones arent upgraded, regardless of contract

I received the ics ota yesterday at about 11:30 am cst. The phone definitely runs smoother, battery life is about the same, but I have noticed that my 4G signal is slightly weaker and I am now getting 4G data at about 9 to 12 mbps when i used to get an average of about 22 to 27 mbps.

Hold the "Home" key and it displays a "Recent History" menu, pretty neat! You can swap out your icons on the bottom menu, unlock ur phone with "Facial" detection!

I received it last Thursday night. After three days of using it, I noticed the following:

     1) Battery life is much better. Now who cares about bloatware, obviously not sucking up that much battery anymore.

     2) Has not crashed, locked up or randomly rebooted on me since the update.

     3) Connects much quicker to Verizon's mobile network. Smooth transition while switching between 3G and 4G.

     4) Connects much quicker to my home wireless N router.

     5) Just seems to run smoother all around, not as jerky it seems.

     6) I love the dock menu bar.

     7) I have not noticed a change in the 4G speed, I know some have said there is, but I just surf the net.

😎 The only hiccup is that I am using Go SMS Pro, it used to show the unread message count in the alert icon. It no

longer does. I have emailed Go SMS, see what their thoughts are.

All and All, I am very happy, all the issues I was having with Gingerbread are gone. Phone is stable and reliable, since I do use this phone alot for my job, life is good.. (LOL)

Hope all of you are having the same warm fuzzy feeling..(LOL)

I got mine on 8/3 and also love it. My only wish would be a home screen that would do landscape. Battery life is much better, but I have the extended battery anyhow from previous days. Google Chrome is fantastic, so that is a nice improvement.

I just received the only major update to my phone. Yesterday at around noon it was asking me and I postponed until later that evening at around 7 pm. 8/19/2012

I don't like it... I do not like it at all. I actually wish I could go and remove all the changes they did. There are only a couple things they did that I liked and the rest is just a bunch of crap.

-Sound-

My biggest frustration with this update. My notification sound can no longer be a separate volume from my regular ringtone (phone calls.) Given I make less calls than texts I prefer the regular volume to be up louder to be sure I hear it. Notifications are not so important for me to hear. The least they could have done was add a "none" in my notification sounds. So I could turn it off.

The rest is just random stupid stuff I don't like. I'm using the  'blue' theme on my phone, well stuff is still green in the menus. I also had no choice in the mater on the change from white to black background on most if not all the menus. Why do they make these major changes and not in an option to at least choose the background?

The update came thru here at 7am EST today 8/29/12.....I don't like it either, my phone is running slow-I had no issues with ANYTHING before this update. My 4G is now gone..I checked the settings and MobileNetwork just says"Turning On"(for the last 2 hours).....so I have to use my wi-fi connectionwith my phone till I get it figured out. I DO NOT like the way the settings menu is set up, and I don't know what it's called but the little menu across the bottom...has got to go....Is there a way to un-do this "update"? I'm sure I'll come across other new changes...hope I like those. Am I missing something???

I've actually noticed my phone becoming slower. While at first it was fine, in fact it was better but the only reason it was better was because the phone was having fits while I wasn't accepting the update. If I restart my phone it smooths out just a bit, but overall its performance has dropped considerably.

I thought, for a moment that maybe I had too many messages. I haven't deleted anything in forever... But when I went to try and delete some... the phone just had some bought of fits and rejected my attempted to do so. I ended up restarting it and not going back to try and delete messages.
