I have a HTC One. Since the 4.4.2 update I am no longer able to mount a thumb drive via OTG cable. In addition, the USB cable from my computer will now only charge "at a reduced rate" and the computer will no longer recognize the phone as a drive. Am I missing a setting that needs to be changed?
Thank you for your assistance.
DroidUser1776 We absolutely want your device to function at its best. Are you using the usb that came with the phone? Also, if the phone has a low battery the best chargig method is to plug it into a wall chager not the computer.

I am using the original usb cable. I am also using an OTG cable that worked for months -- until the 4.4.2 update. When I connect the phone to my PC I get the following message, "On of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. Recommendation: Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognize it, replace the device."
