My co-worker's T-Bolt got around 20 Mbps down and 36 Mbps up (highest out of 3) outside of DC. It brought tears to my eyes!

nice! i thought "3g is plenty fast for me"....until i see these things in action. it is VERY impressive!!!!! between full flash support and the speed, it's unbelieveable how fast a full, large, home page to a site will load. as far as entertainment goes (email, browsing, games, etc), for my purposes, this thing could replace my home pc. now i just have to get one...lol

It depends on the speedtest app. What are you all using?
Also, here in San Diego for a short while this afternoon I noticed some interesting network activity: Under settings --> About Phone --> Network, for Mobile Network Type I'm seeing shift between CDMA 1xRTT / CDMA eHRPD / LTE, with the corresponding notification bar "1x" / "3G" / "4G LTE". I don't have any control of when the network changes. It seemed to be for a couple of hours only -- now it's steady on LTE. But I got speed test results for the different modes.
Results (kpbs), using Speed Test by Ookla:
Network: DL / UL / Ping
1x: 130 / 68 / 999ms
3G: 211 / 362 / 133ms
3G: 194 / 437 / 139ms
3G: 125 / 1776 / 138ms
4G: 9622 / 24878 / 999ms
4G: 8952 / 31339 / 106ms
4G: 10947 / 34391 / 106ms
Note, according to various reports, the upload results for 4G with this app are highly dubious.
Results (kpbs) using Xtremelabs Speedtest:
Network: DL(avg,max) / UL(avg,max)
3G: 740avg, 792max / 162avg, 224max
3G: 230avg, 384max / 226avg, 238max
4G: 7222avg, 7230max / 2542avg, 3892max
4G: 6844avg,6844max / 2742avg, 2916max
4G: 3931avg,3931max / 2966avg, 4022max
4G: 5807avg, 5908max / 2450avg, 3892max
