Anyone else have this issue?
My wife got a rezound from assurion as a replacement. It comes with 2.3.4 android OS. The phone is downloading a 'Pre-ICS 7mb update file" and trying to apply it. During this process it downloads, reboots, tries to apply update, and then boots back up and semi-bricks the phone. I get a failed upgrade notification and the 4g and verizon network is unavailable. To fix i can factory reset the phone wiping the data and sdcard. It reboots and i have to start over.
I found a post online where someone described something similar they suggest the following:
1. Turn Off Wifi
2. In programs force close and clear cache on; updater
3. Pull battery and back in and power on.
4. Go directly to updater check new and try again.
Think this will work?
I would love to get to ICS on the phone but this constant forcing the update and bricking the phone is annoying and my non tech wife with no service.
Well that didn't work. Phone still bricked.
