Problems texting shortcode 90999 to make mobile donation to Red Cross?

I've been able to text other short codes, but for some reason I get a response from others, but when I try to text "redcross" to 90999 to make the mobile donation for the disaster relief effort, nothing happens. No response, no text. Anyone else having the same issue? I called customer care and they have no answer, and are unaware of the issue.

I have researched my system and I am unable to find any issues with the short code to the Red Cross. I trust that the issue you encountered has been resolved by now. However, if you are unable to use the Red Cross short code and still want to donate, please use one of the short codes below:

STORM to 80888 to give to the Salvation Army
HUMANE to 80888 for the American Humane Association
UWHC to 52000 to the United Way of Hudson County, N.J.
