Hi all,
Since we all presumably have lte access back by now (ack'ed by vzw on twitter), I am confused regarding the Rev A settings to use.
After reading on various forums I changed the Rev A settings to 'enable' from 'ehrpd'. Gladly I was able to use 3g network yesterday compared to 1x earlier. I have strong lte coverage at work and no lte coverage at home. I had good 3g speed at work and even at home (yesterday). Woke up this morning and saw 3g signal at home (expected). Came to work and I was having awesome 4g signal. I never changed the Rev A settings. It's still in 'enable' mode. The radio settings (*#*#4636#*#*) are the default ones 'lte+cdma/evdo auto'. In fact I am having better 4g lte speeds and access then before (yesterday).
Before yesterday I had intermittent 4g data access issues. Once in a while the browser will complain the webpage is not available. The lte up arrow showed activity but the down arrow never showed activity. If I switched the radio to cdma auto, I was easily able to access the internet. I never had issues at home with 3g (even with ehrpd and lte+cdma auto). Therefore the issue was isolated to 4g lte network. Read in this forum and a tech cs rep ack'ed that htc is working on a new s/w release to fix the lte issue.
After chaning the Rev A setting to 'enable' (for first time), I am getting good data speeds (and no connection issues) both at work (lte) and home (3g) without chaning anything.
Anyone can help with techinical description and what combinatin should I use? Anyone else notice this?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post
