Have the phone and easily get 6 hours out of it and I am constantly on 4G LTE because I'm 4G everywhere I go where I live.

I'm on the fringe of 4G in NJ. This morning I took the phone off the charger about 6:30. On my commute I go from 3G to 4G, to no signal (in subway) back to 4G. I turned off WiFi on the way. Did a few text messages and read email and PDF attachment on the bus. By 10AM it was down to about 67%. Then I tried streaming some video at lunchtime over LTE and went down to less than 40% in no time. I think LTE does have a big impact, although by utility (Advanced TaskManager) tells me the biggest drain was the screen, which I can believe, "internet" was a distant second.
I have been keeping this thing on a charger whenever possible. So far it's worth it.

If you are not in an LTE area, the phone will continue to look for a signal. (Much like the days when we went between EVDO and rA. Or leaving WiFi on when you are not near a connection)
You may want to shut down the 4G radio until you need it.

Sick of hearing all the whining from the keyboard kami's......GET OVER IT. If you don't like it then return it. Don't complain.I assure you that your girlfriend, assuming that you're straight, will appreciate some real-time vs text time.

Just popped in my head. Wonder if you have applications running in the background that you dont know of? If you havent already try and download advanced task killer and kill all running apps in background. I have it and since I have been using it I seem to be getting pretty good battery life now.

I just got my Thunderbolt and got the extended battery from the very beginning. It cost an additional $50 but all of these large touch screens are battery hogs and if you wanna use them all day ya gotta go with the fat battery
