I've heard from Verizon that the ICS update is suppose to be release at the end of July or in August. Has anyone seen it already? I'm wanting to know if it is going be better than the current OS.

No it hasn't been released yet. There have been no rumor or leaks. Verizon just released the Rezound ICS update a few days ago. Following that pattern, I would guess that Thunderbolt would be likely to be released at the end of the August or early September. No one will know for sure that is happening until user start to receive on their devices and the Support page is update to reflect the Changelog for the ICS update.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Don't get your hopes up. device prob too old for it.
just an idea, the rezound has had ics since around april, there is no alpha leak at this time for the thunderbolt
if there is no ALPHA leak, there is no way there will ever be an OTA ics

When I spoke with HTC, they said that they sent Verizon the files to update the phone in June. If Verizon decides to can the update, I'm going to end up leaving ASAP.

Yes I realize that. Call HTC and ask them yourself. I've even talked to Verizon and they said that they have received the update from HTC and they are in the midst of getting all of their "bloatware" installed on it and testing it before releasing it.

That was one nice thing about ICS on my Rezound. The bloatware is still there, but ICS gave me the choice to Disable it. It probably didn't make any difference since I never used any of those apps anyway, but it made me feel better.

Yep, that was one of the first things I enjoyed about the Nexus when I got it. Disabling the two Verizon applications installed. 😉
