Thunderbolt Multimedia Charging Dock

Before the Thunderbolt was released, a multimedia charging dock was described which would hold the Thunderbolt in landscape at a slight angle and would charge both the Thunderbolt and a spare battery.

I wanted one but it's vanished from the Verizon site! Does anyone have any idea if it will ever reappear or did HTC/Verizon kill it?

I'm ready to buy 2 of these if they ever get released: one for home and one for work!

The HTC charging dock isn't released yet.  The part ID is htc6400dtc.  You can find it on the Verizon site, but it shows "out of stock".  There are non-OEM versions available at other sites, but I don't know if they will accommodate the extended battery while it's attached to the phone.

I emailed Newegg and Techiewarehouse asking if those desktop chargers can charge the phone w/extended batteries installed.  I'll update the thread once I hear back from them.

Here's the response I got from Techiwarehouse.com regarding their desktop multimedia charging dock.

"The Thunderbolt Desktop Charger cannot accommodate the phone with the extended battery installed. However, it is capable of charging the extended battery in the spare battery slot."

So I guess we're going to have to wait until Verizon releases their version in order to charge our phones with the extended batteries.

VZW either sold one and sold out I heard or there going to sell one because it isent on there site but cs saw 1. I have got 2 different answers from them.
