Transfering Photos w/ SD

I just got the thunderbolt and am trying to transfer photos from my old phone to it now. I have a SanDisk but don't know how to save them onto my thunderbolt?

I would plug my phone into usb, mount disk drive, copy pics over to computer

then plug thunderbolt up, mount to disk drive, drag and drop

you have a few options. you can either load the picture files onto a pc and then transfer them to the tbolt via a usb cord. or you can put your old sd card into the tbolt and move them from the card to the tbolt using a file manager type of app (i use estrongs and i've heard astro is great too). or, if your pc has an sd card slot you can put the old sd card into the pc, save the files to the pc....and then put the new sd card into the pc and move them to it.

no....if you just want to use your old sd card then just insert it into the phone then turn the phone on, and your pics "should" be there when you got to the gallery.

I'm confused, I want to do the option you stated earlier where 'you can put your old sd card into the tbolt and move them from the card to the tbolt using a file manager type of app (i use estrongs and i've heard astro is great too).' I understand that when the sd is in my tbolt the photos will be there but I want to move they permanently so I can use the sd card that came with my phone which has much more space and not have the have the old sd.

ohhhhhh....ok. then yes, download a file manager app from the market. they allow you to view your directories on the sd card and the phone. you open the app and you can then view all of the folders and files from the phone and copy the files that you'd like to move from the sd card to the phone. if you have ever used windows explorer, then it will look familiar to that. it's a little tricky if you've never used one, but if you are at all familiar with moving files around on a pc then you should be able to figure it out. i've only ever used ES File Explorer (developed by estrong), but Astro has also recieved great reviews.
